A 31-year-old Jefferson Parish man has been sentenced to 72 months in federal prison for selling crack cocaine and a .45 caliber pistol in Metairie, Louisiana. Michael Feast, also known as ‘Feast,’ pleaded guilty to charges of cocaine distribution and using a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
According to court records, Feast sold 7 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant on August 1, 2024, during a joint operation by the United States Department of Homeland Security, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On September 18, 2024, Feast sold a Metro Arms, Model American Classic Amigo, .45 caliber pistol and a small quantity of cocaine to a person believed to be a legitimate buyer in another controlled purchase. Feast’s consecutive 12 and 60 month prison terms will be served concurrently, followed by three years of supervised release. He will also pay a $200 mandatory special assessment fee.
United States Attorney David I. Courcelle praised the work of the agencies involved in the case, calling it a significant blow to the flow of guns and narcotics in the community. Feast’s sentence brings an end to a long and complex investigation that demonstrates the strong partnership between local and federal law enforcement agencies.
