Dustin Combs, Sex Exploitation of a Minor, Ohio 2024

COLUMBUS, Ohio – In a shocking case of online exploitation, a federal grand jury has indicted Dustin Combs, 30, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, on numerous charges related to the sexual exploitation of a 13-year-old girl he met online.

According to the indictment, Combs allegedly traveled to central Ohio on at least five occasions between July and November 2023, and April 2024, to engage in illicit sex acts with the minor victim. The indictment further alleges that Combs produced child pornography depicting the victim and filmed their sex acts at various locations, including Columbus area hotels.

The charges against Combs include sexual exploitation of a minor, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and up to 30 years in prison. Additionally, traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor is a federal crime punishable by up to 30 years in prison.

Combs was arrested in Pennsylvania and arraigned in federal court today in Columbus. Assistant United States Attorney Emily Czerniejewski is representing the United States in this case.

The investigation was conducted by the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Detroit.

An indictment merely contains allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Combs’ current status is arraigned in federal court, awaiting trial.
