A federal judge in Albany, New York, has handed down a sentence to Eddie Galicia-Bravo, 28, of Elmhurst, New York, for his role in the unlawful transportation of two aliens.
According to sources, on September 25, 2022, Galicia-Bravo drove from New York City to the vicinity of Churubusco, New York, to pick up two Mexican citizens who had recently crossed the international border from Canada into the United States.
Galicia-Bravo admitted to planning to drive the two individuals to New York City. The case was investigated by the United States Border Patrol, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Rick Belliss leading the prosecution.
U.S. Attorney Carla B. Freedman and Chief Patrol Agent Robert N. Garcia announced the guilty plea and sentence.
