Edward Tejeda Pimental, Illegal Reentry, Massachusetts 2024
A Dominican man, Edward Tejeda Pimental, 51, has been sentenced to 37 months in prison for unlawfully reentering the United States after deportation.
Tejeda Pimental, also known as ‘Miguel Carrillo Rodrigues’ and ‘Angel Matos,’ was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Denise J. Casper. He will be subject to deportation proceedings upon completion of his sentence.
Tejeda Pimental pleaded guilty to one count of illegal reentry in November 2024. This marks his fourth instance of being removed from the United States. He was first removed in 2003 following a federal conviction for an immigration offense in the Western District of Texas.
In 2008, Tejeda Pimental was removed from the United States for a second time following narcotics convictions in the District of Massachusetts. A third removal occurred in 2018, following a drug-related arrest in New Hampshire.
Tejeda Pimental is currently facing an additional drug charge in Massachusetts state court following a 2022 arrest for fentanyl trafficking. The U.S. Attorney’s Office and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations made the announcement today.
Assistant U.S. Attorney John J. Reynolds III of the Major Crimes Unit prosecuted the case. United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy and Todd M. Lyons, Field Office Director, Boston, made the joint announcement.
