A Randolph County man has admitted to selling a highly addictive and destructive substance that ravages communities nationwide.
Edwin Mack Taylor, 54, of Elkins, West Virginia, pleaded guilty today to one count of “Distribution of Methamphetamine,” announced United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II.
Taylor sold methamphetamine, also known as “crystal meth” and “ice,” in January 2020 in Randolph County, a stark reminder of the ongoing struggle against the scourge of this illicit substance.
Taylor faces up to 20 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000, a chilling reminder of the severe consequences of this crime. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
