Aiding and Abetting the Distribution of Cocaine Base within 1000 feet of a Protected Location is a serious crime, and Eiandreus Kirkland Rebraun Pique, a 26-year-old man from Cleveland, Ohio, has learned that the hard way.
Pique, also known as “Duke,” pleaded guilty in July 2021 to one count of Aiding and Abetting the Distribution of Cocaine Base within 1000 feet of a Protected Location. This crime is a federal offense, and Pique admitted to working with someone to distribute cocaine base, also known as “crack,” near Wheeling University in February 2020.
Cocaine base is a highly addictive and potent form of cocaine, and its distribution can have devastating effects on individuals and communities. By distributing cocaine base near a protected location, such as a university, Pique put countless people at risk of exposure to this dangerous substance.
The investigation into Pique’s activities was a collaborative effort between the Ohio Valley Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, which includes the Drug Enforcement Administration, West Virginia State Police, Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, and the Wheeling Police Department. The U.S. Marshal Service, Columbus Police Department Gang Crimes Unit, the Martins Ferry Police Department, and the Bellaire Police Department also assisted in the investigation.
Pique’s sentence of 57 months of incarceration is a serious consequence for his actions. This sentence serves as a reminder that the distribution of cocaine base and other controlled substances will not be tolerated in West Virginia or anywhere else in the country.
Pique will now face the consequences of his actions and will be held accountable for his role in the distribution of cocaine base. This case highlights the importance of collaboration between law enforcement agencies in combating the threat of drug trafficking and its devastating effects on communities.
In a separate case, 26 individuals were charged with involvement in a drug conspiracy involving heroin, fentanyl, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine in Wheeling.
