Omaha Woman Sentenced for Distributing Methamphetamine

A 42-year-old Omaha woman has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for distributing methamphetamine. Shelby English was sentenced in federal court on July 17, 2024, for her role in a methamphetamine distribution ring.

English was arrested on May 24, 2023, after a confidential source coordinated a controlled purchase of 111 grams of meth from English’s residence at the 45th block of N. 41st Street in Omaha.

The confidential source and English entered the residence, where they encountered a Hispanic female identified as codefendant, Alondra Rebolledo. Rebolledo is alleged to have provided the meth to English, who then gave it to the confidential source.

Forensic laboratory testing confirmed the substance as meth with a purity level of 94.2%. English’s sentence includes a 5-year term of supervised release after her release from prison.

English is currently serving a 130-month sentence at the federal prison. There is no parole in the federal system, meaning English will serve the full 10.75 years before being eligible for release.

Rebolledo, the co-defendant, is scheduled for trial on August 20, 2024. The case was investigated by the Omaha Police Department.

The sentencing comes as a result of a joint investigation between the Omaha Police Department and federal authorities. English’s arrest and subsequent sentencing are a reminder of the ongoing threat of methamphetamine distribution in the Omaha area.
