Eric Strom Holland, Fraudulent Pain Clinic, Florida 2026

Fort Myers, Florida – A shocking indictment has been returned against Eric Strom Holland, a 55-year-old Cape Coral man, for running a fraudulent all-virtual pain clinic that dispensed over 100,000 tablets of oxycodone, worth more than $4 million on the street.

According to court documents, Holland recruited unwitting doctors for his unlicensed clinic by lying to them about the clinic’s operations. He falsely told them that the clinic had a physical location, that patients were being physically examined by medical practitioners, and that there were safeguards in place to prevent drug abuse.

But in reality, Holland’s clinic was a sham, and he routinely failed to pay his doctors, replacing them with new temporary doctors once they ceased working for him.

As a result of Holland’s actions, over 900 prescriptions were issued for oxycodone, with a street value of more than $4 million. The indictment charges Holland with four counts of wire fraud and six counts of distributing and dispensing controlled substances.

If convicted, Holland faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison on each count. The indictment also notifies Holland that the United States intends to forfeit any property used in or proceeds traceable to the offense.

Assistant United States Attorney Benjamin S. Winter will be prosecuting the case, which was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Miami Tactical Diversion Squad.

An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.
