South Florida Man Sentenced to 30 Years for Child Sex Abuse

A Port Saint Lucie man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after being found guilty of producing child pornography.

Ethan Alexander Concepcion, 24, was arrested and charged with production of child pornography in connection with the sexual abuse of a non-verbal, autistic child.

The abuse took place between March 2018 and January 2019, with the child being just 5-6 years old at the time. Concepcion sent images and videos of the abuse to an individual in Australia, who later reported the crime to authorities.

Concepcion was apprehended by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) after tracing the IP address used to send the images to his residence. He later confessed to the abuse and was subsequently charged with production of child pornography.

U.S. Attorney Juan Antonio Gonzalez and HSI Miami Special Agent in Charge Anthony Salisbury announced the sentence imposed by United States District Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

The investigation was conducted by HSI Miami (West Palm Beach office), with Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Dispoto handling the prosecution.

Concepcion was sentenced to 360 months in federal prison, a significant blow to individuals who exploit children via the internet.
