Evann Robinson, Methamphetamine Distribution, West Virginia 2023

BECKLEY, W.Va. – A local man has been held accountable for his role in a federal drug crime. Evann Robinson, 39, of Beckley, pleaded guilty to distribution of methamphetamine on May 9, 2023.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Robinson sold a controlled substance containing methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Beckley on the same date.

As a result of the guilty plea, Robinson faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a $1 million fine. He is scheduled to be sentenced on December 19, 2024.

United States Attorney Will Thompson commended the investigative work of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Beckley/Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crime Unit, which consists of officers from the West Virginia State Police, the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, and the Beckley Police Department.
