Feds Crack Down on Human Trafficking on St. Croix
ST. CROIX, USVI – In a move to combat the growing issue of human trafficking, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in partnership with the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Virgin Islands, will be hosting a one-day human trafficking training event on the island.
The training, scheduled for Friday, September 7, 2018, from 9:00am to 1:00pm, will take place at the Virgin Islands Port Authority Conference Room, located at Henry Rohlsen International Airport. The event is open to anyone who wants to learn more about human trafficking and the DHS Blue Campaign.
Trainers Scott Santoro, FLETC Sr. Training Advisor, and Crystal Gregory, HSI Forensic Interview Specialist, will lead the training sessions, which will cover topics such as human trafficking overview, encountering victims of crime, and the Blue Campaign.
