MIAMI – In a stunning turn of events, 29-year-old German Oliver Jose Martin from Stuart, Florida, has entered a guilty plea in the Martin County courtroom before U.S. Magistrate Judge Shaniek M. Maynard. Martin stands accused of producing child pornography involving a 15-year-old girl.
The harrowing ordeal began on May 26, 2022, when Martin picked up the young girl from her school bus stop and drove her to his trailer. There, he exploited his position of trust to produce several videos depicting the pair engaging in sexually explicit conduct using his cell phone.
Law enforcement swiftly acted, executing a federal search warrant on Martin’s phone in early June 2022. The search revealed two videos of the minor victim involved in sexual exploitation. Martin has now pled guilty to one count of production of visual depictions of sexual exploitation of a minor.
With this conviction, Martin faces up to 30 years in federal prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release. The charges levied against him are severe and reflect the gravity of his crimes. U.S. Attorney Markenzy Lapointe for the Southern District of Florida, Special Agent in Charge Maged Behnam of the FBI Miami Field Office, and Sheriff William D. Snyder of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office have all announced Martin’s guilty plea.
The investigation into this case was a collaborative effort between the FBI Miami, Fort Pierce Resident Agency, and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. Carmen Lineberger, Managing Assistant U.S. Attorney, is prosecuting the matter with unwavering determination.
