Four 39ers Gang Members Receive Life Sentences
Four members of the 39ers gang were sentenced to life imprisonment for their involvement in racketeering and murder charges in New Orleans, Louisiana. The defendants, JASMINE PERRY, LEROY PRICE, ASHTON PRICE, and ALONZO PETERS, were convicted of offenses related to their involvement with the 39ers gang from approximately 2007-14.
The sentencing was announced by U.S. District Judge Jay C. Zainey following the defendants’ convictions in February 2017. Each defendant received life sentences for their respective crimes. The Court imposed the following sentences on each defendant:

- Count 1: Conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) – Life Imprisonment
- Count 2: Conspiracy to distribute controlled substances – Life Imprisonment
- Count 3: Conspiracy to use and carry and to possess firearms – 240 months imprisonment
- Count 4: Murder in aid of racketeering – Mandatory Life Imprisonment
- Count 5: Causing death through the use of a firearm – Life Imprisonment
- Count 6: Assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering – 240 months imprisonment
- Count 7: Use and carrying of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence and a drug trafficking crime – Consecutive 300 months imprisonment
- Count 33: Assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering – 240 months imprisonment
- Count 34: Use and carrying of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence and a drug trafficking crime – Consecutive 300 months imprisonment
