Four 39ers Gang Members Receive Life Sentences

Four members of the 39ers gang were sentenced to life imprisonment for their involvement in racketeering and murder charges in New Orleans, Louisiana. The defendants, JASMINE PERRY, LEROY PRICE, ASHTON PRICE, and ALONZO PETERS, were convicted of offenses related to their involvement with the 39ers gang from approximately 2007-14.

  • Count 7: Use and carrying of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence and a drug trafficking crime – Consecutive 300 months imprisonment
  • Count 33: Assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering – 240 months imprisonment
  • Count 34: Use and carrying of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence and a drug trafficking crime – Consecutive 300 months imprisonment
  • Count 35: Assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering – 240 months imprisonment
  • Count 36: Use and carrying of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence and a drug trafficking crime – Consecutive 300 months imprisonment
  • Count 37: Assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering – 240 months imprisonment
  • Count 38: Use and carrying of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence and a drug trafficking crime – Consecutive 300 months imprisonment
  • Count 39: Murder in aid of racketeering – Mandatory Life Imprisonment
  • Count 40: Causing death through the use of a firearm – Life Imprisonment

  • Count 1: Conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) – Life Imprisonment
  • Count 2: Conspiracy to distribute controlled substances – Life Imprisonment

ALONZO PETERS

  • Count 1: Conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) – 235 months imprisonment
  • Count 2: Conspiracy to distribute controlled substances – Life Imprisonment
  • Count 3: Conspiracy to use and carry and to possess firearms – 235 months imprisonment
