Four Swann Brothers Arrested for Auto Theft, Washington D.C., 1946

The quartet, consisting of Maxwell David Swann, 29, a former mail carrier with a history of run-ins with the law, Joseph Griffin Swann, 33, who had previously served three sentences for liquor violations and disorderly conduct, Pennal Peter Swann, 26, and an unnamed sibling, were apprehended at 8710 Livingston Road, Chapel Hill, in a raid that marked the culmination of a two-month investigation.
