Frewsburg Man Sentenced for Child Pornography Possession
A 47-year-old Frewsburg man has been sentenced to 57 months in prison for possessing over 600 images of child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr.
Jeffrey Paden, 47, was convicted of possession of child pornography and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Aaron J. Mango and Scott S. Allen, Jr., who handled the case, stated that Paden knowingly possessed the images on his personal computer, which he obtained over the internet.
Some of the images depicted prepubescent minors or minors less than 12 years of age, according to the prosecution.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation on the part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation Task Force, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Adam S. Cohen.
The task force includes the Buffalo Police Department, Cheektowaga Police Department, and Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
Paden’s sentence marks a significant blow to individuals who seek to exploit and harm children through the creation and distribution of child pornography.
