Mohamed Jaber, Irving Bruzon, Christian Andujar, Kyle Miller, and Julissa Collazo, all members of the Alexander Park gang, pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute over 1,000 kilograms of marijuana in Tampa, Florida. The crimes occurred between January 2020 and July 2021, with the gang operating by selling and distributing marijuana, robbing other dealers, and committing violent acts to maintain credibility. The gang also obtained high-end vehicles by making false representations about their employment and incomes.
The investigation revealed that Andujar and another individual conspired to kill a rival gang member in 2020. In 2023, Andujar, Bruzon, and two others conspired to kill an individual who had angered them, resulting in the victim being shot 17 times while sleeping in his car. The gang’s violent activities were intended to strengthen their position and maintain the gang’s credibility.
The guilty pleas include additional charges for Andujar, Bruzon, and Jaber, who face counts of conspiracy to commit murder, financial institution fraud, and other crimes. Each defendant faces a maximum penalty of life in federal prison, with sentencing dates yet to be set. A sixth individual, Xavier Garnder, has been charged and pleaded not guilty.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Tampa Police Department. The guilty pleas mark a significant development in the prosecution of organized crime in the Tampa area.
