CLEVELAND – Federal agents have unsealed a 59-page indictment charging six alleged members of an interstate drug smuggling ring, including Genaro Villa, who is accused of supplying massive quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, and other substances from California to Ohio.
The ring’s activities, spanning February 2023 to April 2024, were said to involve Terrance Gainer, Anthony Clark, Darquan Dixon, Allura Ward, and Najiyah Martin. According to the charges, Villa supplied drugs to Ohio members while Ward, Dixon, and others transported and sold them.
Investigation revealed that drugs were shipped via airlines and U.S. Post Office, with methamphetamine and cocaine regularly mailed from California locations to cities in Ohio, including Akron, Barberton, Mansfield, and Columbus.
Gainer, Clark, Dixon, and Ward are also accused of selling the drugs within the state. In one instance, Ward purchased a pill press machine and over 55 pounds of pill-binding powder, which she used to produce illicit pills at her home in Mansfield.
The investigation’s most dramatic seizure occurred when Ward and Dixon were stopped by Ohio State Highway Patrol on a traffic violation. During a search, authorities recovered more than 17 pounds of methamphetamine (8.8 kilograms), two pounds of cocaine (1 kilogram), and a loaded 9mm pistol.
In total, over 33 pounds (15 kilograms) of methamphetamine and more than two pounds of cocaine were seized from mail parcels and airline flights. Multiple firearms were also linked to the drug operation.
