Grimy Times EXCLUSIVE: Gimy Rodriguez, a/k/a ‘Carvo,’ was sentenced to 262 months’ imprisonment for drug trafficking in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
On October 29, 2020, United States District Judge Robert D. Mariani handed down the sentence to Gimy Rodriguez, age 28 of Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
Rodriguez, the leader of multiple co-conspirators, pleaded guilty in September 2019 to engaging in a conspiracy and other charges involving the distribution of heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine throughout Luzerne County. He maintained hubs of operation in both Hazleton and Wilkes-Barre.
According to United States Attorney David J. Freed, Rodriguez’s co-conspirators were sentenced to:
– Andrew J. Danko to 68 months’ imprisonment;
– Angela Haggerty to 37 months’ imprisonment; and
– Hector Delacruz to 51 months’ imprisonment.
The case was investigated by the DEA and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Michele Olshefski prosecuted the case.
This prosecution is part of an extensive investigation by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) and Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN).
