The wheels of corruption continue to turn in the Sunshine State, as Guy A. Van Baalen has been appointed as the Acting U.S. Trustee for Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands (Region 21).

This appointment comes as a result of the resignation of Mary Ida Townson, who is stepping down after four years of distinguished service to the U.S. Trustee Program (USTP). Townson’s resignation takes effect on August 16, leaving a power vacuum that Van Baalen is poised to fill.
