A brazen $3.6M Treasury check scam unraveled in Hampton, VA, where three locals pleasured themselves in a life of crime. From August 2023 to January 2024, Katie Anne Keller, 44, Christopher Allen Lee Krall, 34, and David Henry Graham, 53, along with co-conspirators, hijacked checks meant for New York residents.
Using forged ID docs, the trio opened bank accounts in the victims’ names, deposited the Treasury checks, and split the loot. Keller continued the scheme even after her January 2024 arrest in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
On October 28, 2025, FBI agents crashed Keller’s Hampton pad, finding 25 sets of identity documents, 18 burner phones, and a stash of credit cards, social security cards, and financial documents from 10 states.
Keller and Krall face 30 years in prison, with a mandatory two-year consecutive term. Graham’s got two fraudulent ID docs on him when he got caught.
