A scumbag Colombian national with a taste for kiddie porn got 8 years in the slammer for downloading and saving sick images and videos of kids. Jorge Antonio Escobar, 50, used the BitTorrent peer-to-peer network to search for images of young girls, and investigators tracked him down to his Leesburg, Virginia, pad.
HSI agents started sniffing around in September 2022 after they ID’d an IP address tied to Escobar’s residence. In a lame attempt to cover his tracks, Escobar admitted to using the torrent network to search for the twisted content.
Escobar copped to receiving child sex abuse material (CSAM) on December 30, 2025. The feds say he downloaded images of prepubescent minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The case was part of a national crackdown on internet predators, and it’s a win for Project Safe Childhood, a federal initiative to combat child exploitation.
