A Tuolumne County man used his computer to download and share over 100 videos of children in sexually explicit conduct with others, prosecutors say. Between May 2018 and March 2020, Stephen Tyler Prock, 58, used the peer-to-peer file sharing network Shareaza to distribute the child sexual abuse material.
Homeland Security Investigations conducted the probe, and Prock was charged with receipt and distribution of child sexual abuse material. A three-day trial found him guilty. He now faces a mandatory minimum of five years in prison and a maximum of 20 years.
Prosecutors discovered additional child sex abuse material on Prock’s computer when agents executed a search warrant at his Jamestown residence.
Prock is set to be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston on July 27, 2026.
