A 36-year-old Sacramento man is going down for 25 years after a sickening online sex caper that spanned two states and a minor’s trust. Joshua David Price began chatting with a 15-year-old girl online in 2011, then flew her to California and drove her to Oregon, where he filmed himself and the minor engaging in sex acts. The Klamath Falls Police, Homeland Security, and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office took him down.
Price, who faces a quarter-century in the slammer, is the latest target of Project Safe Childhood. The Department of Justice initiative aims to combat child sex exploitation and abuse nationwide.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Roger Yang led the prosecution, working with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California. Judge William B. Shubb handed down the sentence.
The case serves as a harsh reminder that child predators lurk online, preying on vulnerable young victims. Stay safe, kids.
