A 21-year-old from Camuy, Puerto Rico, Félix Ebdiel Muñiz-Rivera, is headed to prison for 20 years after preying on two five-year-old girls. The convicted child predator recorded himself assaulting the minors and sent the videos to unknown recipients via his unlocked cellphone.
The abuse started in June 2025 and continued until August 2025, when Homeland Security Investigations agents stumbled upon Muñiz-Rivera’s phone during a drug bust in a Quebradillas public housing project. His phone was left behind as he fled the scene.
A subsequent search warrant revealed more disturbing evidence, including a video of the defendant’s child abuse. Muñiz-Rivera pleaded guilty to the charges on December 18, 2025.
US Attorney W. Stephen Muldrow announced the conviction, stating that the 20-year sentence sends a strong message. Muñiz-Rivera will also serve 15 years of supervised release after his prison term.
