A Guatemalan national was sentenced to over eight years in federal prison for possessing child sexual abuse material and reentering the US after deportation.
Marlon Jefferson Fajardo-Paiz, 22, was previously removed from the country on July 20, 2018, and had no permission to apply for readmission.
During an investigation into a Cybertip, Fajardo-Paiz admitted to investigators that he viewed, downloaded, and transmitted CSAM.
A search of his cellphone revealed at least 20 items of CSAM in his possession.
The case was investigated by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.
