A Clarksburg woman has pleaded guilty to a firearms charge in federal court.
Harlie Christian Shaw, 30, admitted to having a .22 caliber revolver in June 2020 in Harrison County, despite being prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a prior conviction.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah E. Wagner is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Aloi presided over the case.
Shaw faces up to 10 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $250,000. The actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and Shaw’s prior criminal history, if any.
Shaw’s guilty plea marks the end of the case, with the next step being sentencing. The exact date for sentencing has not been announced.
