A Harvey man has been indicted and arrested on child pornography charges, announced U.S. Attorney Kenneth A. Polite.
CHRISTOPHER ORGERON, 33, of Harvey, is accused of knowingly receiving child pornography images and videos depicting the sexual victimization of minors, according to the indictment. The indictment alleges that ORGERON committed the crimes between an unknown time and June 25, 2015.
ORGERON was arrested and taken into federal custody today at his place of employment in Westwego by special agents with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations.
If convicted, ORGERON faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and a maximum penalty of up to twenty years imprisonment, followed by up to a lifetime term of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.
