Franklyn Morillo, Oxycodone and Cocaine Trafficking, NH 2024

CONCORD, N.H. – Franklyn Morillo, 42, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, was today handed a 14-year prison sentence for his role in a major drug trafficking conspiracy that included the distribution of oxycodone and cocaine.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Morillo, along with an alleged network, conspired to distribute thousands of oxycodone pills and several kilograms of cocaine across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. A lengthy investigation by law enforcement, which included drug purchases by informants, surveillance, wiretaps, and search warrants, ultimately exposed the operation.

During a search warrant executed in August 2015 at Morillo’s residence, over $18,000 in cash and a substantial quantity of cocaine were seized. Morillo was arrested on October 1, 2015, with a further quantity of oxycodone pills and over $2,000 in cash recovered from his home.

Morillo is one of six individuals indicted by a federal grand jury on September 23, 2015, for conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances. All defendants have since pleaded guilty, with Morillo’s plea taking place on October 28, 2017.

Acting United States Attorney John J. Farley emphasized the commitment of his office to tackle the opioid crisis, noting that “those who profit from the illicit sales of these pills are contributing to the opioid crisis in the Granite State.” He commended law enforcement for dismantling the drug distribution network.

This case was supported by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) and led by the DEA’s Tactical Diversion Squad, with assistance from local police departments. The investigation and prosecution were handled by Acting U.S. Attorney Farley.”
