Forestport Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Child Pornography Offenses

A federal court in Syracuse, New York, has sentenced Henry C. Albrecht, Jr., age 54, of Forestport, New York, to serve 180 months (15 years) in federal prison for presenting, receiving, and possessing child pornography.

According to court records, Henry C. Albrecht, Jr. used social media messaging applications and received child pornography images and videos from another adult who gave him a flash drive with child pornography files saved onto it.

During a live video call in December 2022, Albrecht shared his screen with that person and presented multiple videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He also possessed more than 2,500 files of child pornography on various devices on the day of his arrest.

Henry C. Albrecht, Jr. was charged with presenting, receiving, and possessing child pornography. He pleaded guilty to the crimes and was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison.

The court also ordered Henry C. Albrecht, Jr. to serve a 15-year term of supervised release upon his release from prison, at which time he will be required to register as a sex offender. He was also ordered to forfeit to the United States the electronic devices he used to commit the offenses.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael D. Gadarian prosecuted the case as part of Project Safe Childhood.

Project Safe Childhood is a Department of Justice initiative that marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
