Heroin Trafficker Sentenced in Ocean Springs
A 46-year-old Ocean Springs woman has been sentenced to 43 months in federal prison for her role in trafficking heroin in the city.
Robyn Paige Kisling, a resident of Ocean Springs, was handed down the sentence by U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden. She will also serve three years of supervised release after her prison term.
Kisling’s conviction stems from a 2016 sting operation in which she sold an ounce of heroin to an undercover agent in a parking lot in Ocean Springs. This incident occurred on April 19, 2016.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, and Assistant U.S. Attorney John Meynardie was responsible for prosecuting the case.
Kisling had previously pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute heroin on February 15, 2018.
The sentence handed down to Kisling serves as a reminder of the severity of the consequences for those involved in heroin trafficking. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the opioid epidemic in the region.
