HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The grimy streets of Huntington were hit with a shock wave as Dyson Lamont Woody Jr., also known as ‘DC Sosa,’ 33, pleaded guilty today to distributing a substantial quantity of methamphetamine. The plea deal was reached on the heels of court documents detailing a March 17, 2021, sale of approximately 27.28 grams of the illegal substance to an informant for $430.
Woody’s crime transpired in a seedy Huntington motel room, where he arranged and executed the transaction. The defendant has since admitted to his guilt, acknowledging both the sale and the prior arrangement that led to it. His sentence is scheduled to be handed down on January 5, 2026, with a daunting maximum of 20 years imprisonment, supervised release, and a fine that could reach $1 million.
The investigation was a collaborative effort, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Cabell County Sheriff’s Office, and Huntington Police Department leading the charge.
