Illegal Alien Jimenez-Hernandez Pleads Guilty to Reentry

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Mexican national Jose Luis Jimenez-Hernandez, 45, pleaded guilty to one count of Unlawful Reentry of Removed Alien in the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The charges stem from his presence in the U.S. without express consent following previous deportations on January 10, 2012, June 14, 2013, and October 25, 2013.

The investigation into Jimenez-Hernandez was conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division. He is facing a maximum penalty of two years imprisonment and a fine of up to $250,000.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration and protecting communities from violent crime. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dak T. Cohen represented the United States in court.

The Honorable D. Edward Snow, U.S. Magistrate Judge, accepted Jimenez-Hernandez’s plea and ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed. A U.S. District Court Judge will determine his sentence based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other factors.

Jimenez-Hernandez remains in custody of the United States Marshals Service until sentencing is imposed.

Operation Take Back America, led by the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN), underscores the federal government’s commitment to combating illegal immigration and associated criminal activities.
