PENSACOLA, FLORIDA – In a stunning blow to the illegal alien community, Juan Dias-Zacarias, also known as ‘Gabriel P. Roberro’ and ‘Gabriel Perez Roblero,’ has been sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by an Illegal Alien. The sentence was announced by John P. Heekin, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
Heekin stated, ‘Law-abiding citizens have the right to keep and bear firearms, but illegal aliens entering our country unlawfully have no such right. Dias-Zacarias not only possessed a firearm, he used it to threaten another person. Despite using aliases to evade detection, his true identity was confirmed through advanced biometric capabilities.’
Dias-Zacarias’ history is checkered with encounters with immigration authorities, including a 1998 deportation to Mexico. Despite this, he has provided varying names and dates of birth to U.S. law enforcement upon each return.
Nichola Ingegno, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations Tallahassee, emphasized, ‘Dias-Zacarias’ actions were a clear threat to public safety. His prior deportation and attempts to deceive authorities show disregard for American laws.’
Following his prison term, Dias-Zacarias will face deportation proceedings and a three-year supervised release period. The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations and Enforcement Removal Operations.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration, eliminating cartels, and protecting communities from violent crime.
