DAVENPORT, Iowa — A local man has been sentenced to prison for his involvement in a gun offense.
On Thursday, March 18, 2021, United States District Court Chief Judge John A. Jarvey sentenced Isaiah Michael McAllister, age 22, of Davenport, to 37 months in prison for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, announced Acting United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal.
Following his prison term, McAllister was ordered to serve three years of supervised release, as well as pay $100 to the Crime Victims’ Fund.
The offense occurred after McAllister was involved in a verbal confrontation and possessed a gun. McAllister ran from the police and attempted to hide the loaded firearm in the common area of an apartment complex where children were playing.
McAllister is a member of the MMG street gang.
This matter was investigated by the Davenport Police Department. This case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
McAllister, a 22-year-old Davenport man, was sentenced to 37 months in prison for Felon in Possession of a Firearm on March 18, 2021. He will serve three years of supervised release and pay $100 to the Crime Victims’ Fund.
The Davenport Police Department investigated the case, which was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
The charges against McAllister include Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a federal offense. He is a member of the MMG street gang and was involved in a verbal confrontation before being caught with the gun.
