Child Pornography Ring Busted: Garden City Man Sentenced to 78 Months in Prison
In a shocking case of child exploitation, James E. McGary, a 43-year-old resident of Garden City, Kansas, was sentenced to 78 months in federal prison for possessing over 16,000 images of child pornography.
The case unfolded in October 2012 when an investigator with the Ford County Sheriff’s Office identified a computer sharing pornography on a file sharing network. A search warrant was subsequently served at McGary’s home, where investigators found a laptop computer containing the disturbing images.
