Abusive Sexual Contact Lands Norris Man in Hot Water
A disturbing case of Abusive Sexual Contact has come to light in Norris, South Dakota, leaving authorities scrambling to bring justice to the victim. According to sources, 37-year-old Harold White Hat is facing serious charges after being accused of engaging in sexual contact with a minor victim on November 3, 2020.
The alleged incident occurred in Mellette County, where White Hat knowingly engaged in the prohibited act. The victim, who was incapable of appraising the nature of the conduct and unable to decline participation, was subjected to the abuse. The charges against White Hat are serious, with a maximum penalty of up to three years in federal prison and/or a $250,000 fine.
White Hat, who appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on August 16, 2021, has pleaded not guilty to the Indictment. The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Kirk Albertson prosecuting the case.
White Hat has been remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending trial, which has yet to be scheduled. The charges against him are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
