Jeremiah Cundiff Charged with Possession of a Machinegun

Orlando, FL – In a disturbing display of gun violence, 19-year-old Jeremiah Cundiff has been charged with possession of a machinegun.

According to the indictment, on October 23, 2023, Cundiff possessed a machinegun. This reckless behavior is a stark reminder of the dangers posed by illicit firearms.

The indictment also notifies Cundiff that the United States intends to forfeit a Glock GMBH 23 .40 caliber pistol, a machinegun conversion device, and associated ammunition.

An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.

The case is being investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with valuable assistance from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Assistant United States Attorney Noah P. Dorman will be prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in our communities.

Cundiff faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison if convicted.
