Jeremy Dwayne Lavorchek, 28, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is headed to federal prison for 272 months after being sentenced in Muskogee for a violent spree involving controlled substances and armed robbery. The Eastern District of Oklahoma U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed the judgment, which includes $37,958.33 in restitution.
Lavorchek was convicted on multiple federal counts stemming from crimes committed on or about December 9, 2015. He was found guilty of POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE SCHEDULE II CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, including OxyContin, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Morphine, and Fentanyl, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(C).
That same day, Lavorchek executed a violent robbery at Ernie’s Pharmacy in Muskogee, Oklahoma. According to the indictment, he used force, violence, and intimidation to steal controlled substances with a replacement cost of at least $500. The drugs belonged to a DEA-registered entity, triggering federal ROBBERY INVOLVING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES charges under Title 18, United States Code, Section 2118(a).
In a separate but connected incident on December 9, 2015, Lavorchek committed CARJACKING in the Eastern District of Oklahoma. He seized a motor vehicle that had traveled in interstate and foreign commerce, using intimidation and threats of harm. The act, charged under Title 18, United States Code, Section 2119(1), carried a mandatory minimum sentence due to the intent to cause serious bodily injury.
The investigation was led by the Muskogee Police Department, whose detectives worked alongside federal agents to build the case. First Assistant United States Attorney Doug Horn prosecuted the case, emphasizing the danger Lavorchek posed to public safety and the severity of stealing life-regulated pharmaceuticals at gunpoint.
The Honorable Judge Ronald A. White presided over the sentencing hearing in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Lavorchek will serve his nonparoleable sentence in a federal facility designated by the Bureau of Prisons, with no early release. The full restitution of $37,958.33 must be paid as part of his judgment.
