A 41-year-old man from Twin Falls, Idaho, has been sentenced to 130 months in prison for possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Jeremy Hill, 41, of Twin Falls, was sentenced yesterday in U.S. District Court to 130 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, U.S. Attorney Bart M. Davis announced.
Hill was sentenced by U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill.
Hill was indicted by a federal grand jury in Boise on March 13, 2018, and pleaded guilty on December 4, 2018.
On February 7, 2018, Idaho State Police troopers saw Hill driving a Chevrolet Blazer without mud flaps. Troopers attempted to stop Hill. In response, Hill fled at a high rate of speed. As he was fleeing, he threw methamphetamine from the Blazer. Hill eventually crashed his Blazer. Idaho State Police troopers then arrested Hill.
The Blazer was searched. Within the Blazer, troopers found more than fifty grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and $2,523 cash.
This case was investigated by the Idaho State Police.
