A ruthless cocaine dealer, who had been deported from the US five times, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for peddling his deadly wares in Newark, Delaware.
Adan Cuevas-Arteaga, 44, was caught with a stash of cocaine, digital scales, and $7,400 in cash after a search warrant was executed on his residence and car.
The brazen dealer had no qualms about breaking US immigration laws, which he repeatedly did between 2007 and 2019. His most recent offense was selling cocaine after re-entering the country illegally.
U.S. Attorney Benjamin L. Wallace vowed to keep cracking down on drug dealers, especially those who have no business being in the US. The FBI’s Delaware Violent Crime and Safe Streets Task Force investigated the case, which Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexander P. Ibrahim prosecuted.
