Damion Alexander Peddie, a 54-year-old Jamaican citizen, was sentenced to 122 months in federal prison for possessing a cache of weapons and narcotics in Washington, DC. Peddie, a convicted cocaine dealer, had been deported from the US five times prior to his latest arrest. The sentence comes after a long-term investigation by the FBI into a drug trafficking conspiracy in the summer of 2024. Peddie’s crimes put American communities at risk, and his sentence reflects the severity of his offenses.

Peddle pleaded guilty on December 19, 2025, to a three-count information charging him with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, alien in possession of a firearm, and unlawful re-entry of a previously removed alien. The investigation, which began in the summer of 2024, centered around a drug trafficking operation in the 2900 block of Knox Place, SE. Peddie was found to be conspiring with members of the operation to redistribute fentanyl and other narcotics.

The FBI executed a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of Taylor Street NW on August 26, 2025, as part of the investigation. The search led to the discovery of Peddie’s involvement in the drug trafficking operation. US Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro stated that Peddie’s sentence reflects the Trump administration’s efforts to remove career criminal illegal aliens from the country.

Peddle’s sentence includes 122 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release. He will also be subject to deportation after serving his sentence. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and illegal immigration in the US.
