Aurora Man Indicted for Weapons Violations

In a shocking turn of events, Jeremy Lavon Tate, a 27-year-old man from Aurora, Colorado, has been indicted for possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person and possession of a machinegun. According to a previously filed criminal complaint, Tate was arrested at Children’s Hospital in Aurora on September 24, 2022 while in possession of a pistol loaded with a round in the chamber.

Aurora police officers took possession of the firearm and noted it to have what appeared to be an auto-convertor switch affixed to the rear of the pistol, which would allow the firearm to operate in a fully automatic capacity.
