West Virginia Man Sentenced for Methamphetamine Charge

ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA – Jesse David Tolson, a 35-year-old man from Elkins, West Virginia, was sentenced to 150 months of incarceration for a drug charge, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard.

Tolson pled guilty in December 2020 to one count of ‘Possession with Intent to Distribute More Than Fifty Grams of Methamphetamine.’ He admitted to having more than 50 grams of methamphetamine in December 2019 in Randolph County.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Mountain Region Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force investigated.

U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the case.

Tolson’s sentence will begin immediately, and he will serve 150 months in prison. The sentence was handed down on an unspecified date after Tolson’s guilty plea in December 2020.

The case against Tolson was investigated by the Mountain Region Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner on behalf of the government.

The sentence was imposed by U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh.
