Jesse Neri, Methamphetamine Distribution, Nebraska 2023

Omaha Man Sentenced in Methamphetamine Distribution Conspiracy

A federal judge in Omaha sentenced Jesse Neri, 23, to 210 months in prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy in early 2021.

Neri, who was accused of conspiring with his brother, Oswaldo Neri, 30, of Mexico, and others to distribute methamphetamine in Omaha, pleaded guilty on the morning of a scheduled trial.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Neri conspired with his brother and others to distribute methamphetamine in Omaha in early 2021. The conspiracy involved a local party meeting with a DEA undercover agent, who posed as a customer, to purchase a pound of methamphetamine for $4,100.

The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at the Neri brothers’ residence in Omaha on January 12, 2021, where investigators recovered 6 additional pounds of methamphetamine and additional evidence of distribution.

Neri’s brother, Oswaldo Neri, was found guilty by a federal jury in February 2022 and is awaiting sentencing.

Neri will begin a 5-year term of supervised release after his release from prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. There is no parole in the federal system.
