Vance Campbell, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Nebraska 2024

Vance Campbell, a 38-year-old man from Council Bluffs, Iowa, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine.

In addition to the prison time, Campbell will serve 10 years on supervised release following his release from prison. There is no parole in the federal system.

The arrest of Campbell was made possible by the Omaha Police Department, which observed him at a gas station in Omaha and was aware that he had a warrant. Upon making contact with Campbell, officers arrested him and conducted a search of his vehicle.

A K-9 indicated the presence of narcotics on Campbell’s vehicle, and a subsequent search revealed 189 grams of actual methamphetamine and $4,189 in United States currency.

Campbell had a prior serious drug felony conviction for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine in the District of Nebraska in 2003. He served 168 months in federal prison for this conviction.

As a result of his prior conviction for a serious drug felony, Campbell faced a statutory minimum sentence of 15 years. This case was investigated by the Omaha Police Department.
