Jesus Concepcion Sentenced to 30 Years for Sex Abuse of Five Minors
A former Bronx public charter school teacher has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in the sexual abuse of five minors, according to the Southern District of New York.
Jesus Concepcion, 51, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Loretta A. Preska on [date] for his crimes, which took place between 2000 and 2007 at a public charter middle school in the Bronx.
Concepcion was found guilty of five counts of child enticement, four counts of transportation of a minor with intent to engage in illegal sexual activity, and one count of travel with intent to engage in illegal sexual activity with a minor.
The victims, who were as young as 12 years old at the time of the abuse, were lured into relationships with Concepcion through gifts and other forms of manipulation.
During his trial, prosecutors revealed that Concepcion had engaged in oral and vaginal sex with at least four of the victims, and had threatened to harm one of the victims if she revealed his abuse.
Concepcion was also ordered to pay $1000 in assessments and restitution, and will serve 10 years of supervised release after his prison sentence.
