Jonathan Lee Debus, Child Pornography, Pennsylvania 2022

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – A shocking indictment has been made against Dover man Jonathan Lee Debus, 42, for his alleged involvement in child pornography.

According to federal authorities, Debus has been charged with possession and receipt of child pornography, specifically involving a minor under 12 years of age, between October 1, 2021, and May 12, 2022, in York County.

The indictment comes despite Debus’ previous Pennsylvania state conviction in the York County Court of Common Pleas for unlawful contact with minors and statutory sexual assault, which occurred after the alleged crimes.

The investigation was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott R. Ford handling the prosecution. The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the federal government to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Debus’ alleged crimes carry a maximum penalty of up to 60 years in prison, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine. It is essential to note that an indictment is only an allegation, and all persons charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in court.
