Defendant Jordin White, a 24-year-old St. Louis resident, has been sentenced to 97 months in prison for his involvement in a string of crimes related to guns and drugs.

According to court documents, White was first spotted by detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Anti-Crime Task Force on April 29, 2024. During the initial stop, officers found a firearm magazine protruding from the pocket of White’s shorts, leading to the discovery of a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun in his pocket.

Further investigation revealed an AR-style pistol, loaded with 30 rounds of ammunition, in the car, as well as additional ammunition, a large amount of cash, a scale, and 107 capsules containing fentanyl and cocaine base. The total amount of fentanyl and cocaine base found was not specified.

On June 5, 2024, the Anti-Crime Task Force observed White conducting hand-to-hand transactions with unknown individuals in an Audi A4. Despite being spike-stripped by police, White drove off in the Audi until he lost control of the car and abandoned it. White then fled on foot while holding a Glock handgun equipped with a large-capacity drum magazine loaded with 32 rounds of ammunition.

Officers also found six knotted baggies containing 127.98 grams of marijuana at the scene. White’s involvement in the crimes led to the recovery of a large stash of cash, firearms, and a significant amount of narcotics.

White pleaded guilty in March to three felony counts: possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney J. Christian Goeke prosecuting the case.

The sentencing of Jordin White is part of the ongoing effort to reduce violent crime and gun violence in the St. Louis area, as part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) program. This program aims to bring together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to make neighborhoods safer for everyone.

The case highlights the importance of community-based initiatives and strategic enforcement priorities in reducing crime. By working together, law enforcement agencies and community members can make a significant impact in preventing violence and making their neighborhoods safer.
