A federal judge in Omaha, Nebraska, has sentenced Jose Rumualdo-Gallardo, a 31-year-old man from Mexico, to 120 months’ imprisonment for his involvement in a methamphetamine conspiracy.
Rumualdo-Gallardo was also sentenced to 60 months’ imprisonment for possessing a firearm in furtherance of the drug conspiracy. The sentences are to run consecutive.
The investigation, led by the Omaha Police Department, revealed that Rumualdo-Gallardo provided methamphetamine to another individual, Michael Lee, who was arrested in February 2022 with 44 grams of pure methamphetamine.
Further investigation led to the seizure of an additional 242 grams of methamphetamine, a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun, and $2,527 from Rumualdo-Gallardo’s residence.
Rumualdo-Gallardo forfeited the $2,527 in drug proceeds as part of his sentence.
There is no parole in the federal system, and after his release from prison, Rumualdo-Gallardo will begin a five-year term of supervised release.
Michael Lee, who also faces charges, is set for sentencing on September 6, 2023.
