Joseph Rojas, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Pennsylvania 2014

PITTSBURGH – A resident of Elk Grove, California, has been brought to justice for his role in a massive methamphetamine distribution ring.

Joseph Rojas, 28, pleaded guilty to one count of violating the federal narcotics laws before Chief United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti in federal court.

According to court documents, Rojas conspired to distribute in excess of 50 grams of methamphetamine, a staggering amount that highlights the severity of the crime.

Rojas’s guilty plea comes after a thorough investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Pennsylvania State Police, who worked tirelessly to bring him to justice.

Assistant United States Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government, ensuring that Rojas faces the full weight of the law.

Rojas’s sentencing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on May 15, 2014, before Judge Conti. The law provides for a total sentence of not less than 10 years or more than life in prison, a fine of $10,000,000, or both.

Pending sentencing, the court revoked Rojas’s bond and ordered him to be detained, ensuring that he does not pose a threat to the community.
